Les TransArdentes is also a festival concerned with the environment.
The deal is to allow festival goers to evolve in a friendly and cleaner environment while reducing waste.
Many ecological initiatives are therefore taken by the organization to improve the environmental respect.
As LES ARDENTES, LES TRANSARDENTES will use returnable glasses.
A big first in Belgium for a electronic music festival on this scale: Les TransArdentes drinking glasses will be returnable from now on!
Especially designed for the occasion, the glasses are reusable, both at the festival and at home!
Results of this substantial investment:
- A huge decrease in production of waste
- Cleaner rooms
How does it work?
The system is simple :
- All drinks served in festival bars (except plastic bottles) are concerned
- Deposit of 1 drinks ticket/coin per glass
- For each order, once the deposit is returned, the used glass will be
- exchanged for a new one
- Deposits may be retrieved at any time by returning your glass to any festival ticket booth
Les TransArdentes are also working for the management of waste like glass, cardboard and recyclables.
An Eco Team of more than fifty persons is involved in the cleaning of the different rooms and are well informed on waste management.
Information will be distributed around the site highlighting environmental concerns and the appropriate waste facilities distributed throughout.
The festival also limits the display and the intensive distribution of flyers to limit the additional waste.
